Dr. Janna Lipenkova is an AI strategist, entrepreneur, and author of The Art of AI Product Development (Manning) and Google's Learn AI course for developers. She pairs a PhD in computational linguistics with a decade of hands-on AI delivery — from an agentic competitive-intelligence platform for Lufthansa to executive AI-upskilling programs — and translates that depth into strategy leaders can act on. She leads AI Strategy Partners, guiding enterprises from AI opportunity to measurable ROI, and co-founded Equintel, an AI platform for corporate sustainability. She speaks widely on moving AI from pilots to durable value with a strictly zero-hype, outcome-first approach.

Getting AI Discovery Right
For: founders, product leaders, enterprise AI leaders
The #1 reason AI projects fail is aiming them at the wrong problem. This talk provides repeatable way to find the right ones.
Getting AI Discovery Right
For: founders, product leaders, enterprise AI leaders
The #1 reason AI projects fail is aiming them at the wrong problem. This talk provides repeatable way to find the right ones.
The talk
Most AI initiatives fail not on technology but on problem selection — teams pour effort into use cases that are too small, too simple, or a poor fit for AI. Janna walks through a structured discovery process: mapping the opportunity space with the AI Opportunity Tree, specifying systems with the AI System Blueprint, and treating prioritisation as strategic alignment rather than feature-scoring. Teams leave able to tell a real AI opportunity from AI for its own sake.

Domain knowledge is the real moat
For: founders, product leaders, investors
Why depth in your domain — not the model you pick — decides which AI products win.
Domain knowledge is the real moat
For: founders, product leaders, investors
Why depth in your domain — not the model you pick — decides which AI products win.
The talk
As models commoditise, durable advantage comes from domain understanding, proprietary data, and workflow fit — not the model you pick. Janna shows how to identify and build the moat competitors can't copy by swapping a vendor.

Three mental models leadership needs before delegating AI to the organisation.
The talk
The biggest blocker to enterprise AI is rarely the technology — it's how leadership talks (or doesn't) about it. Janna gives executives three mental models that create a shared language, align teams, and de-risk decisions before a single model is chosen.

Designing AI User Experiences for Trust
For: product teams, UX designers, product managers
AI is probabilistic and will make mistakes — designing the UX that keeps users' trust anyway.
Designing AI User Experiences for Trust
For: product teams, UX designers, product managers
AI is probabilistic and will make mistakes — designing the UX that keeps users' trust anyway.
The talk
Unlike traditional software, AI is uncertain by nature: it makes mistakes, behaves as a black box, and meets users with very different levels of AI literacy. Janna shows how to design UX that manages that uncertainty honestly — surfacing confidence, handling errors gracefully, and setting the right expectations — so users keep trusting, and keep using, the product.

Introducing the AI Radar
For: product teams, UX designers, product managers
A data-driven map of the AI landscape, so product teams can keep up without the hype.
The talk
The AI solution space moves faster than any team can track, and hype fills the gaps. The AI Radar is a data-driven map that monitors the latest AI models, methods, and use cases and structures them into a taxonomy product teams can act on. Janna shows how to use it to cut through noise, make architecture decisions with clarity, and stay current as the landscape shifts.
